SOGEMCO’s policy in terms of computers is to equip all the agencies with top quality products in order to offer the best service quality.
All SOGEMCO’s structures possess LAN Network and are connected to the INTERNET.
The company has chosen HP as privileged partner for:
1- the quality and reliability of the equipments.
2- the availability of HP representatives in Algeria and their quick attendance .
3- HP rank in the world especially after its merger with COMPAQ.
The company equipments include the following:
1- A Proliant ML-350 Server with a 2.0 GHz Xeon Processor, Hot plug Hard
Disks, RAID Card and DAT Supports
2- EVO P-IV PC’s
3- Laser and Inkjet HP Printers
4-Scanners 4500c.
5- The Puss’s are provided by APC.
SOFTWARE
SOGEMCO is using WINDOWS XP Operating Systems with all their ORIGINAL commercial licences in order to benefit from all the advantages WINDOWS can offer.
Our IT Department cares for all the equipment by using:
1- Updated Anti-Virus Programmes.
2- Fire-walls.
3- Regular off-hours and system backups with data safeguard in order to be able to face any eventual problems.
Our operating software has been developed in-house with our IT engineers which gives to SOGEMCO the flexibility of updating and interfacing the programs upon requirements or new needs in a short notice.
MS-Access and ORACLE databases are used by our IT engineers.
MS-Exchange 2000 is used to connect the different services within the same agency and is also used to connect all the other agencies of SOGEMCO NETWORK.
